Margarita Plessa is a painter and an honor graduate of the School of Fine Arts of Genova in Italy (2004) with studies in performance art, scenography, and costume theater. FMoreover, from a young age, she was a student in the Classical Dance School Vera – Regina Alexopoulou where she studied modern, contemporary dance, contact, and dance theater. She has participated in shows of various dance groups (Iasis, AKIN, Maxine Heppner, Kinitiras, etc.), as well as the Ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Athens in 2004. She has also been selected to participate in the research program of Societa Rafaelo Sanzio of the Italian, visual artist, set designer, and choreographer Romeo Castellucci. In 2007 she started her professional career in tango and began to dance in the team Amor Latino show of the Chilean Leonardo Gomez,of which she was also the production manager and set designer until 2012.
In the same year, she moved to Argentina, where she continued her postgraduate studies in painting and dancing and collaborated with Ariel Perez, with whom she toured Latin America (Cube, Mexico, Peru, Argentina) performing in the show Acuarela de Tango (04-05/2013).
For the last two years, she has been attending the postgraduate program in “Contemporary Dance Trends” at the National University of the Arts in Buenos Aires and she has been involved with the creation of dance shows that combine visual arts with tango.
Since 2016, she has been teaching tango, together with Ariel Perez, in their dance & art studio in Athens, while at the same time, the two of them are instructors in Argentina in Escuela de Tango de Buenos Aires and deliver seminars to various places all around the world.
In Greece, Margarita has danced with the group Tango en Eros, performing in shows in Herodion (Τango por Piazzolla 2016), Pallas (Tango Love Stories 2017), Technopolis (Tango en Eros 2016), the Compañia Tango Dinzel during their premiere in Greece in 2018, as well as the Orquesta Tipica La Juan d’ Arienzo (2017 Parnassos Philological Association) and the ERT Contemporary Music Orchestra (2017) in Badminton Theatre (2015).
Apart from being a dancer, she is also the screenwriter of the music and dance performance of the show Rebetango which premiered in 2016 in Apollon of Syros and went on to tour many places of Greece (Mikis Theodorakis Amphitheater, Doukissis Plakentias Palace, El Convento del Arte, Icarus Festival, Alkmini Theater). Last but not least, she has appeared in many theaters and festivals in Greece (Olvio, Xytirio, Athinais, Festival Icarus, Festival Tinos, etc.) in the shows Acuarela de Tango and Aires de Argentina of the group Acuarela Company, which she created in 2013, along with Ariel Perez.

Η Μαργαρίτα Πλέσσα είναι ζωγράφος, αριστούχος απόφοιτος της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών της Γένοβας στην Ιταλία (2004), με σπουδές στο performance art, τη σκηνογραφία και το κοστούμι θεάτρου. Επίσης, από πολύ μικρή ηλικία μαθήτευσε στη Σχολή κλασικού χορού Βέρα – Ρεγγίνα Αλεξοπούλου και ασχολήθηκε με το μοντέρνο, το σύγχρονο χορό, το contact και το χοροθέατρο. Έχει συμμετάσχει σε παραστάσεις διαφόρων ομάδων χορού (Ιάσις, Α ΚΙΝ, Μaxine Heppner, Κινητήρας κ.α) καθώς και στις Τελετές των Ολυμπιακών Αγώνων Αθήνα 2004. Ακόμη, έχει επιλεχθεί και συμμετάσχει σε ερευνητικό πρόγραμμα της Societa Rafaelo Sanzio του Ιταλού εικαστικού, σκηνογράφου και χορογράφου Romeo Casteluccci.
Το 2007, ξεκινά να ασχολείται επαγγελματικά με το tango και αρχίζει να χορεύει στην ομάδα Αmor Latino show του χιλιανού Leonardo Gomez της οποίας είναι επίσης υπεύθυνη παραγωγής και σκηνογράφος έως το 2012.
Τον ίδιο χρόνο μετακομίζει στην Αργεντινή, όπου συνεχίζει τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές της στη ζωγραφική και στο χορό και συνεργάζεται με τον Ariel Perez με τον οποίο δημιουργούν το 2013 την ομάδα Αcuarela Company και περιοδεύουν στη Λατινική Αμερική, (Κουβά, Μεξικό, Περού, Αργεντινή) καθώς και στην Ελλάδα (Οlvio, Xυτήριο, Faust, Αθηναίς, Φεστιβάλ Τίνου, καθώς και περιοδεια στην Κρήτη, στην Ικαρία – Φεστιβαλ Ίκαρος, κ.α.) με τις παραστάσεις Αcuarela de Tangο και Aires de Argentina της ομάδας τους.
Στην Ελλάδα μεταξύ άλλων, η Μαργαρίτα έχει χορέψει με την ομάδα Tango en Eros, με παραστάσεις στο Ηρώδειο (Τango por Piazzolla 2016), Παλλάς (Tango Love Stories 2017), Τεχνόπολις (Tango en Eros 2016), με την Compañia Tango Dinzel με πρεμιέρα στην Ελλάδα (2018), καθώς και με την Orquesta Tipica La Juan d’ Arienzo στο Φιλολογικό Σύλλογο Παρνασσό (2017) και με την Ορχήστρα Σύγχρονης Μουσικής της ΕΡΤ (2017) στο Badminton Theatre, ενώ έχει επιτελέσει βοηθός χορογράφου και χορεύτρια στην παράσταση Τango vs Flamenco στο Ηρώδειο τον Σεπτέμβριο του 2020.
Επίσης χορεύει και έχει γράψει το σενάριο της μουσικοχορευτικής παράστασης Rebetango με πρεμιέρα το 2016 στο Απόλλων της Σύρου και με εμφανίσεις σε πολλά μέρη της Ελλάδας (Αμφιθέατρο Μίκης Θεοδωράκης, Μέγαρο Δουκίσσης Πλακεντίας, El Convento del Arte, Φεστιβάλ Ίκαρος, Θέατρο Αλκμήνη).
Τα τελευταία δύο χρόνια παρακολουθεί το μεταπτυχιακό πρόγραμμα στις «Σύγχρονες Τάσεις Χορού» στο Eθνικό Πανεπιστήμιο Τεχνών του Buenos Aires και ασχολείται με τη δημιουργία παραστάσεων χορού που συνδυάζουν τις εικαστικές και παραστατικές τέχνες με το tango.
Το 2016 μεταμορφώνει το atelier εικαστικών τεχνών που διατηρεί από το 2005 στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, σε σχολή χορού, δημιουργώντας έτσι το Τango Atelier όπου διδάσκει tango, μαζί με τον Αriel Perez και για πρώτη φορά στην Ελλάδα folclore argentino. Παράλληλα παραδίδουν σεμινάρια σε πολλά μέρη του κόσμου, ενώ είναι δάσκαλοι στην Escuela de Tango de Buenos Aires.
